I am extremely gland to meet you all with the promise of this month. God promises the He will before you - in this month. For the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward. – Isa 52:12. All through this month, In all your actions God’s presence will go before you, so promises the Lord. When God presence leads you the same time it also protects you from behind. Even though it may be through the hills or the dense jungle His presence will go before you and guide you. He will go before you and straighten the crooked path. Remove all the stumbling blocks. Because His presence is going before you, you need not to afraid. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.(Isa 43:2).
First God removes all the obstacles. The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them.(Micah 2:13). Micah tasted God’s presence and how He removed the stumbling blocks so he names Him as the one who breaks the obstacles. Satan cannot bear the children of God moving forward. Therefore he creates hurdles in their path. Creates confusion in the families, so that they cannot live in peace. Creates financial problems and economical set backs. He blocks your spiritual development. Beloved, you need not trouble yourself because of all these kinds of obstacles Satan can bring any amount of stumbling blocks in your life, but he has no authority to overcome you. Have faith that your God is moving before you and with that faith you stand against Satan. David stood against Goliath only with this kind of firm faith. Then you will notice your problems vanish.
The Pharaoh of Egypt was a huge blockade for the Israelites. He did not permit Israelites to worship the God. God who walks before the Israelites gave the counsel. He orders them to celebrate the pass over. The blood of the paschal lamb was smeared on the door post. The angel of death passes through the cities of Egypt and destroy the firstborn children as well us the animals. The angel of death on seeing the blood of the paschal lamb on the door post did not enter in to the Israelites camp. Only then the stubbornness of the Pharaoh was broken. And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said. Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also. And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.(Exo 12:31-33). Today in your life the obstructions are broken. The members of your family who could not be saved till today God is breaking the bondage and bless them with salvation.
After the Pharaoh the Israelites faced red sea as a mighty challenge and found it impossible to cross. They started murmuring against God. And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.(Exo 14:11-12). Like Israelites you are also grumbling when you face with problems. But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.(Exo 14:16). God tells us to stretch your rod. What is the rod you have in your hand? The word rod means the word of God. What ever things you call it as impediment and hurdles speak the word of God to it. You will see the obstacles being removed.
Israelites faced the wall of Jericho as insurmountable. Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.(Joshua 6:1). The fortress was fitted with steel latches and the doors were made of bronze and locked. God instructed the Israelites to go round the wall of Jericho singing of praise and worshiping God. So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword.(Josh 6:20-21). What is your Jericho? Are you facing problems in your spiritual development? Because God’s presence is moving before you He will destroy all such encumbrances. God will accomplish everything for you. The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.(Zeph 3:15).
And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place. Yet in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your God, Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.(Deut 1:31-33) Here He tells us that God presence went before them in the form of pillar of fire and pillar of cloud.
The same God who led the people of Israelites in the form of pillar of fire and pillar of cloud will also lead you through your problems. The pillar of fire and pillar of cloud represents the spiritual life. Pillar if cloud denotes Jesus Christ. Our God the Father is sun of righteousness and Jesus Christ is the only mediator in the form of the pillar of cloud, between us and the father. Consider your life thoroughly. How often we were disobedient to God and brought the wrath of God. How often we have deviated from the love God and leaned on the pleasures of flesh. Again how often doubting in the faith on our Lord and with short comings of faith we were separated from God. But the pillar of cloud that is Jesus Christ mediated for us and protected the judgment to fall on us. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.(Isa 53:5).
God will command the pillar of fire to be the wall of protection for you. For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.(Zech 2:5) Because God is covers you all around in the form of the pillar of fire, no enemy can approach you. Conjuring, witchcraft can never overcome you. God stands as a pillar of fire and protects you. Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!(Num 23:23).
Beloved, pillar of fire and the pillar of cloud not only gave protection, but also guided the path. God walked before them in the form of pillar of cloud and pillar of fire and walked before them and decided where the Israelites should camp and also the path through which they should walk in the wilderness. And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: (Exo 13:21). The Israelites never walk through that path before. All the ways were through the wilderness. Therefore God showed them the way in the form of pillar of cloud during the day time and pillar of fire at night. You have met with wilderness in your life. You were struggling to arrive at any particular decision and solution. On such occasion you were confused. Many times in your family life you were not able to take any comprehensive decision. Not understanding the will of God you were loitering in total darkness. The God who walks before you knew the path through which you should walk. He will guide you properly. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.(Heb 2:18). I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.(Ps 32:8).
Not only God walks before you, His presence also walks before you. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.(Exo 33:14). What is the presence of God? The presence of God means the presence of His glory. The presence of God is all powerful. The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.(Ps 97:5). So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.(Eze 38:20). When you have filled with God’s presence His anointing covers you. Therefore when His presence go before you no enemy can approach you. Any evil forces will have no power before you. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.(Ps 121:7-8). Because his presence goes before you, you are not shaken. I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.(Ps 16:8).
So for you have not placed God before you therefore He passes before you. So you met with serious of failures. Today God assures that He will go before you and fight for you and bring forth victory instead of failures. The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;(Deut 1:30).
If you wish God should fight your fight and give you victory, you are expected to do certain things. You have to wait in His presence, patiently, for his counsel. And obey and follow it. David always kept God in front of Him. I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.(Ps 16:8). We see how David was obedient to God and follow the instructions of God and received the victories. Once when he was fighting with Philistines God instructed to go and fight with them. Accordingly David fought with them. On some other occasion came to fight he did not straight away went in to the battle, instead he waited for guidance from God. And when David enquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees. And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.(2Sam 23-24). Beloved, you have the fight in this world. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.(Eph 6:12). To win in this fight against Satan you have to consult with God. Are you listing to God in your life at all situations? If you do victory is always yours.
Beloved, according to His promise for this month God will go before you. He will go before and straighten all the crooked ways. You will prosper in all your efforts. All these will fulfill in your life and you will send testimonies. Once again wishing you all that the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God our Father and the fellowship of the Holy may remain with you and your family members now and forever. Amen.
