Fear not...

But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. – Luke 8:50

In The Bible, God says so many times “Fear not”. As God is repeatedly saying ‘fear not’, that shows that we have fear. In our Christian life whenever we get fear, we are losing something. Whenever you get fear you are losing your faith. When fear gets into our life, we lose faith in God and Satan dominates us. When faith comes in, fear walks out. How does fear enter into your life? Worries about your feature, your children, your business and financial situation, are some of the reasons for fear. Just thoughts about the worries, will also bring fear. “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?(Mat 6:25) If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?(Luke 12:26) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” (Phil 4:6) Fear is the weapon of Satan, God has not given you the spirit of fear. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2Tim 1:7)

And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.(2Kings 6:15-17) In this incident, the servant of Elisha feared, but Elisha prayed to God and the servant saw the protection of God. God is with you. So no matter what comes against you, can never dominate you. Don’t get fear on seeing the outward situation. To see the truth, pray to God to open your eyes. Focus your eyes on the word of God and His promises, which will cast out the fear from you. Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.(Deut 31:6) You are precious in the sight of God. Always trust God. But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.(Luke 12:7) There will be struggles. There will be trials. But these are opportunities to overcome fear. God has promised to be with you, and to help you.

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. – Joshua 1:9
