Catch all the foxes, those little foxes, before they ruin the vineyard of love,
for the grapevines are blossoming! - (Song of Solomon 2:15) (NKJV).

Thoughts for Today
.
There are many big dams built across rivers throughout India. They protect
cities and villages from damage during floods. Once during such a flood,
a dam burst and water entered a village and hundreds lost their
houses and belongings.
.
When they examined the cause, they found out that a tree has spread its
roots in the middle of the dam. One of the roots decayed and caused
a hole. Because of the water pressure the dam weakened in that place.
One root had caused a breach! When the floods came, the dam gave way in
the weak
spot and the people had to suffer huge losses.
.
In Salem, the river Mani Muththaru was running near our house. It is
very rare to see water in that river. Only sewage water and some pigs
can be seen there. Our houses were about 15 feet above the river. But
one day because of a breach in a dam, water was rushing in the river.
The water
level kept on rising. When we thought it will subside, the water reached
our houses. As we were small kids, we started playing in the water. But
when
the water slowly reached to our waist, our parents took us to some
higher places. In the next three hours, the water completely submerged
our houses
and we lost all our belongings. We stayed in the nearby Susannal
Mandapam for about a week. We could save only our lives. All because of a
weak point
in the dam which gave way to the pressure and caused a
breach causing lot of loss.
.
We may have some small sins in our lives. In due course it will root in our
lives and rob off all the joy, peace and health from our lives. Solomon loved
the Pharaoh's daughter and many Moabite and Ammonite, Edomite and
Sidonian women. God had warned the Israelites that they should not marry
them and if they marry, they would lead them astray form the Lord. But
Solomon went after them and was united with them. But King Solomon loved
many
foreign women, as well as the daughter of Pharaoh: women of the
Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites— from the nations
of whom the
Lord had warned, "You shall not intermarry with them, nor they with you.
Surely they will turn away your hearts after their gods." Solomon clung
to
these in love. For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives
turned his heart after other gods; and his heart was not loyal to the
Lord his God,
as was the heart of his father David. - (1 Kings 11:1,2-4)
.
Perhaps King Solomon might have thought, "After all, what can these
women can do? I am the King, what I say is the law. How can they change
me?" and lusted after them. But they led him astray from his faith, hope
and his father's God. He turned his heart from God and went astray. He
had
been a great king incomparable in wealth and wisdom and built a awe
inspiring Temple to the Lord. But in later days he back slid from God.
The reason
behind his fall was his weakness.
.
Let us "catch all the foxes, those little foxes." Let us remove the small
weaknesses from our lives. It may be occasional drinking, playing cards,
paan parag addiction or cinema or TV serials. Or some other
weaknesses unknown to us. As they spoil our families' happiness, peace
and health, let us put them away from us. Let us straighten our lives
before
the small drop becomes a flood and destroy us. Let us protect our lives
from the tricks of Satan. When you resolve to give up on them, the Holy
Spirit
will help you. Isn't He the One Who helps us in our weaknesses? Let us
resolve today. May the Lord God help us. Amen.Hallelujah.
.
No holed foxes allowed
Neither little foxes
In God's garden the Church
Beedi cigarette, cinema, serial
No such foxes
In God's garden, the Church.
.
Prayer:Our Guiding Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day. Help us to
remove the weaknesses from our lives so that they won't destroy us.
Deliver us from the sins we are not able to give up. Grant us grace to
drive away all the foxes and little foxes and lead a holy life. Thank
you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, In Jesus Loving
Name I
Pray, Amen."
