A series of three earthquakes, the most severe with a magnitude of 6.9, shook Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, and the Indian state of Sikkim on 18 September. Monsoon rains have made rescue efforts difficult. Initial estimates of 50-80 people dead have jumped as more reports from the remote Himalayan regions have trickled in.
Pray for comfort for the families of those who have lost family and friends in Nepal.
Pray for the Nepalese Christians to rise up and offer the hope found in Jesus Christ to their hurting neighbors.
Ask the Lord to use for good what satan meant for evil.
Pray for many people to come into the Kingdom of God through Jesus Christ in the midst of this difficult time. (II Corinthians 1:3-4; Genesis 50:20; Romans 8:28)
