“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;” – Mark 16:17
Are you afraid of Satan’s cunning behaviour in your life? Don’t be afraid. God is telling you, the believers about the power that He has given you. God has given you the power over Satan. You can chase Satan away. Satan also knows this secret. Satan is scared of you. Because you don’t have any knowledge about this you fear Satan and his action. “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”( John 1:12). He is nothing in front of you, who have the power as God’s children. Many believers today, haven’t still understood this promise. It is true that missionaries aree called by God, but it is also true that God has given you the power to drive away Satan. “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:10-11). God’s word is telling that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow of those in Heaven, earth and those under earth. The name of Jesus is strong. God has given His children to use this powerful name. Are you using this power? “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Revelation 12:10-11).
Today, many fear Satan and his actions. This fear is brought to you by Satan. Jesus died on the cross and gave you the power. “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”(Colossians 2:14-15). God gives you this power to enable you to defeat Satan and he obeys you. When you say you have the power to chase Satan, many people think of only those who dance about under the clutches of the devil. When Satan ruins your Holy life, use this power to defeat him. When you go ahead in your life and Satan blocks it, use this power and you will be victorious. If he brings problems in your married life, just command and ask him to go away. Is he bringing doubts about God’s commandments and makes you to move you away from your belief, defeat him by the name of Jesus. If you see Satan or his action in your life, chase him off in the same name of Jesus. He will runoff from you. “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Mathew 10:8).
