He listened when I prayed, and he is always kind

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. – 2Cor 12:9

Why are my prayers not heard? Why Lord hasn't answered my prayers? I am praying in faith. Then why my wishes are not fulfilled. When I prayed for others Lord did miracles. But why He remains silent when I pray for my self? This is the doubt raised in you. Today He speaks to you, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Apostle Paul was powerfully used by Lord. Such a man had a weakness in his body. He refers to this as a thorn in the flesh. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Th erefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.(2Cor 12:7-9). If a thorn pokes our feet we feel the pain whenever we walk. We feel the pain till we remove the thorn. The thorn was hurting Paul's body. Paul says that this was caused by the messenger of Satan. This pain was cause by Satan and Paul prayed for the removal of this pain. He prayed to the Lord thrice. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.(2Cor 12:8). Did Paul receive answer to His prayer? Did God take out the thorn as he prays?

God answers the prayers of Paul. But He did not take out the thorn from him. God answers, My grace is sufficient for thee. When you praying to the Lord for a certain thing. You are expecting that Lord should answer your prayers as per your plan. He answers your prayer in different way instead of conceding to your request. When you are not receiving an answer according to your wish you conclude, God has not answered my prayer. You received answers to your prayer. The answer was given to you in God’s way and His will. We are expecting from God that He should answer our prayers according to our desire. Do you know, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.(Rom 8:28). We should accept the reply given by God happily. Today God speaks to you, my grace is sufficient for you. In the midst of your struggles, constraints, tribulations, illnesses, pains and losses the grace of God is sufficient fo r you. Through His grace you are going to overcome all your weakness. Why Paul was given a thorn? Why did not God remove it? Paul itself gives the explanation for this. “there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.” In order to prevent him giving way to boasting and pride which will lead to his fall God allowed this suffering in the body. Accept God's answer to your prayer happily and rely on His grace. In an appropriate time you will receive wonders. When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.(Ps 94:18)

Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me. – Ps 66:20
