And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God. - Acts 10:31
Prayer is the pillar of life of every saved child of God. This pillar which is prayer has to be firmly rooted in every saved person’s life, in order to receive the blessings from God. We learn from the word of God that the prayer for Cornelius has been heard. When you presence of God are you confident that your prayers are heard? In the life of David, he had always believed that his prayers were heard. Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.(Ps 28:6). O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.(Ps 65:2). Through the prophet Isaiah the king Hezekiah was warned with a prophecy. In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.(2Kings 20:1). Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying, I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. God heard the sincere prayer of king Hezekiah. Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.(2King 20:5). In case you are suffering due to serious health problems. The God who heard the prayers of Hezekiah will also listen to your prayers and give you healing or relief from your illness. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.(Ps 103:3-5)
But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.(Lk 1:13). We understand here that God heard the prayers of Zacharias. When Zacharias prayer was heard, he was of ripe age and without a child. And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.(Lk 1:7). Zacharias patiently waited for a long period for his petition to be fulfilled. His patience and waiting with faith was not in vain. God blessed him with a child. That child became the witness to Christ and also became a prophet. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.(Lk 1:15-17). Just like Zacharias you might be also waiting for a long time for a particular blessing from God. Are you tired of waiting for the blessings of God for any one of the following favor, for child, for a good job, for a promoting, for financial prosperity, for material blessing and such other worldly needs. Have you come to the conclusion that your expectations may not come to pass? Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.(Pro 13:12). God tells you “I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears”. Because God has heard your prayer there is bound to be a miracle happen in your life. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.(Ps 37:4-5).
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. - Mat 6:8.
