keep thanking God

He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man. Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name. – Psalms 18:48-49

God delivered David from his enemies and lifted him above in the midst of those who rose against him. For this David gave thanks to the God. In the bible in many places we read David gave thanks to the Lord. This day, how many of us thank god from our hearts for showering his mercies on us? Only few of us give thanks to the Lord in all things. Many of us do not thank God, but only murmur. Even we fail to thank god while receiving the benefits of our prayers from Him. The Bible teaches us, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (1Thes 5:18) “When Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” (Job 1:20:21) When God gives us anything to us we give thanks. If he takes anything back we start to murmur. When God blesses us, helps us lead a satisfied life and give peace we give thanks to God. As David said, If God leads us in the valley of the shadow of death do we give thanks to God? Do you know what Satan said about Job? “Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.”(Job 1:9-11) Satan is saying the same about you. Now suppose, God takes away everything from you? Do you give thanks to God or do you murmur?

Our God will never do evil to you. He loves you more. So whatever be the situation he allows in your lives remember is always for your good. He never does anything wrong in your life. On seeing the difficult situations in your life never murmur that God has given a difficult situation in your life. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”(Rom 8:28) with your whole heart, whatever the things you face in life give thanks to God and glorify Him. When you do this, it shows you know you Lord God, You love Him. Satan will get ashamed on seeing you. David faces a situation like this. He passes through a situation that the Lord hid his face. “ LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.” (Ps 30:7) This situation is not continued in the life of David. The Lord turns His face to David. “ Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.”(Ps 30:11-12) .Open your hearts now and give thanks to God for everything, the Lord who turns the mourning of David to dancing and gladness will do the same in your life. “ In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.” (Isa 54:8)

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: - Psalms 103:1,2
