The Central Asian nation of Tibet, often referred to as the "Roof of the World" because of its high elevation (averaging 16,000 feet above sea level), is currently part of China.

The majority of Tibetans are Buddhist. They believe in a cycle of death and rebirth (reincarnation), and live in fear that their behavior in this life will determine the quality of the next.

Although the Constitution of the People's Republic of China provides for freedom of religion, the government restricts religious practice to state-sanctioned places of worship.

PRAISE

The Chinese government limits access to Tibet, but radio programs broadcast into the region offer the Gospel in the Tibetan language.

PRAYER

Pray for the ancient stronghold of Buddhism to be bound and cast down.

Pray for the people of Tibet to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Ask God to raise up prayer teams who will commit to pray for a spiritual breakthrough in Tibet.

Pray for God to send His angels to war on behalf of this land. Pray the Kingdom of God will be established in Tibet as it is in Heaven.

Ask God to encourage and protect the small number of Christians in Tibet.

Pray for these Believers to have opportunities to share Christ with fellow Tibetans.
