Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall: - Genesis 49:22
God is comparing Joseph to fruitful plant. Jesus says if we abide in Him we will be fruitful. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.(Jn 15:5) As Joseph abided in God he was fruitful. As Joseph abided in God, God was also with Joseph. And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. (Gen 39:2) As Joseph abided in God he was a prosperous man. His master, the Egyptian, saw that the LORD made all that he did to prosper, the master kept Joseph with him. See your life; are you prospering? If you feel that you are facing obstacles in all the things you deal, you will not prosper. You are the children of God. If you abide in God then God will flourish in all the things you do. As Joseph abided in God, so God blessed the Egyptian house on behalf of Joseph. And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.(Gen 39:5) If you abide in God then for your sake God will bless the company you are working, your family people will be blessed for your sake.
If you did not abide in Jesus then you can’t be fruitful. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.(Jn 15:4) Joseph came to Egypt alone. Joseph said that he came alone and God multiplied him. And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.(Gen 41:52). You may also be afflicted now. All your family members and relatives may see your affliction and drawback from you. Abide in God then you will see the blessing of Lord done as in the life of Joseph, will fulfill in your life. As Joseph abided in God, God made him the lord of all Egypt. Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not: (Gen 45:9) Abide in the love of God. Abide in His word. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.(Jn 15:10) And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.(1Jn 4:16) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.(Jn 15:7)
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. - Psalms 23:6
