NEPAL, SOUTH ASIA

Human rights groups are calling on the government of Nepal to take action against religious traditions that encourage discrimination and violence against women. In the Deuki system, for instance, Nepalese families give their young daughters to the Buddhist temple where they live in poverty, are exploited, and are often forced into prostitution.

Pray for an end to these destructive practices.

Ask the Lord to arise and do battle on behalf of Nepalese women.

Pray for Christians and Christian ministries to provide a refuge for these victims.

Petition the Lord to spread the Gospel throughout Nepal.

Pray for a great harvest of souls in this nation. (Proverbs 14:26).
