Persecution of Christians is on the rise in Sri Lanka. In July 2011 there were several attacks on Christians, including the destruction of homes and physical beatings. "The Christian minority has experienced an increase in persecution since 2005," reports Mission Network News, "especially at the hands of militant Buddhists."
Pray for the Lord to give His angels charge over His people in this nation.
Ask Him to protect them and empower them to stand firm as they face persecution.
Pray for Christians in Sri Lanka to love their enemies and pray for those who mistreat them.
Ask the Lord to speak to the hearts of those who are doing this violence – especially militant Buddhists.
Pray for their salvation. Petition the Lord for a great harvest of souls in Sri Lanka. (Matthew 5:44)
