I stand at the door and knock

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. – Rev 3:20

In the book of revelation we are reading about seven churches the last is the church of the Laodiceans. This is the word that given by the spirit of God to the church of the Laodiceans. The bible scholars compare the church of the Laodiceans, to the churches in these last days. In these days believer are having the spiritual experience neither cold nor hot as in the church of the Laodiceans. You must be zealous in the spirit and that’s the will of God. Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;(Rom 12:11). These days in church believers are giving first choice to their own things than the church service. They don’t have zeal to lead a holy life. They are not cheerful in giving for His kingdom. I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.(Rev 3:15-16). When you are receiving blessings from the Lord and experiencing his miracles you feel fervent in spirit. But when you are facing difficulties and problems where is your fervent? Mostly you are backsliding. The prayer times are very low and you are not encouraged in reading Bible. Yes, how long halt you between two opinions? Here Jesus is saying Behold; I stand at the door, and knock. It means in your personal experience still He is standing away. There are so many obstacles in your life to open the door and so He is not able to bless you. But God is willing you to open the door. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory.(Ps 24:9-10).

Today where is Jesus in your life, Is he is with you are standing at the door? Today hear his voice and open the door. He will come in and sup with you. The supper Lord Mention here denotes your fellowship with God. You have experienced daily the supper with your family members. Jesus likes to have that much experience of His fellowship. It also significant the love of God. After Jesus risen from the dead, His disciples went for fishing. Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.(Jn 21:3). when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. As soon then as they were come to land, Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. When they had dined Jesus ask this question three times to Simon peter. The Lord, who dined with disciples, is willing to have sup with you. He is standing at the door now itself open the door of your heart. Have your fellowship with him like a member in your family. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.(Jn 15:9).

But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. – Lk 24:29
