Now that independence has been achieved, South Sudan must deal with the aftermath of years of war and violence. “Child soldiers, now grown up,” writes Standard Media, “have only known the gun and defence as their first line towards livelihood. If demobilized they need first to go to school, to be given skills to begin a new life.”
Pray for the Lord to give the government of this new nation wisdom in dealing with this and other problems facing South Sudan.
Ask Him to raise up leaders who fear Him and will lead the nation in integrity. (Daniel 2:21)
