The government of Mali is working with Mauritania to increase military operations aimed at stopping the spread of al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM). As one journalist noted, "The possibility of AQIM having access to heavy weapons from Libya is now posing a threat to security and stability in Mali."
Pray for this cooperative effort to be effective in defending against and defeating AQIM.
Pray for the Lord to give the leaders of Mali wisdom and strategies in keeping their nation secure.
Pray for the people of this nation to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Good News of Jesus Christ.
