art my God

O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. – Isa 25: 1
Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.(Pro 11:14). In this world there are many people available to advice you. Your parents advices you, friends suggest their advice. But many times, in your family life, business, at your work place you do not get the proper advice to tackle your problems. What ever may be your situation there is but one person waiting to counsel and direct you in the right direction. He is no other than Jesus Christ himself. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.(Isa 9:6). His advice is amazing. This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.(Isa 28:29). His counseling is permanent and eternal. The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. (Ps 33:11). His advices are precious. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!(Ps 139:17). His counsel will stand firm. Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure(Isa 46:10). God has promised us the He will instruct and guide us. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.(Ps 32:8).

We see many people in the word of God, who have walked according to the counsel of the Lord and because of that received amazing grace. God chosen Moses and gave him instructions to lead approximately 20, 00,000 Israelites. He gave them instruction as to where to camp, when to depart, how to construct the tabernacle, how to dedicate Levites and priest, how to celebrate the festivals and finally how to fight the enemies. Thus did Moses: according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.(Exo 40:16). God’s guidance never brought them to troubles or struggles. Only when they disobeyed God’s instructions they met with pains and sufferings. When Jesus was moving in the world He preached to repent and receive Baptism. But the Pharisees and the lawyers did not take baptism were postponing God’s guidance and entangled themselves in to problems. But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.(Lk 7:30). The God who guided Moses in those days is the same God who is giving advice and guidance through the Holy Spirit today. And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;(Isa 11:2). Today you submit your selves to act according to the guidance given to you by the Holy Spirit. You will defiantly meet with greater things in your life. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.(Jn 16:13).

I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. – Ps 16:7
