When you read this verse you consider God is speaking about the married life and the relationship between a husband and a wife. You may be a husband or a wife, an important plan of God's purpose for marriage is to have someone help you in life. These days more than the gentiles , we are seeing separation, problems between a husband and a wife, no peace after marriage and divorces are common in many Christian families. Sometimes you may see so many differences in life style, in nature, in personalities between you(the wife) and your husband. Whatever it maybe, one sure aspect is God united you. Surely if there is any fault in any one of you it is often misunderstood and a problem crops up between the husband and the wife. It is important that both the husband and the wife should stop pointing out each other’s faults. Whatever the situation may demand, if you have the love of God in you, either of you become a help to each other. Do you know how the love must be shared between you? It is synonymous to Jesus Christ’s love to the Church. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;(Eph 5:24-25). Just as the love gets shared between Christ and the Church so will a Husband be a solace to the a wife and vice-versa and thus be encouraging and comforting life partners as well. These days Satan imposes his views,he brings in an element of misunderstanding and discouragement thus ruining the Peace in your family. Absence of Peace brings forth anger .It is important to realize, when ever your life partner feels alone and desolate, you have to encourage your better-half with words of comfort . Whenever your life partner gets tired and weak, it is obvious that support from the partner is required and this is the reason God gives you a life partner or a help-mate.
These days we see in many Christian families the total absence of support during a period of trial and distress . The husband and wife accuse each other of not listening to each other’s advice thus discouraging each other to the maximum. Be it a Husband or a Wife Remember the Holy Spirit is speaking to you. Whatsoever you sow you will reap . Whatever you give, you will receive. What you reveal you will receive it back. If you show the worldly love to your life partner you will never have a peaceful life. You must allow the Love of God flow from each other. God expects to pour His love through you. God loves your life partner as He loves you. When you allow God’s love to flow then you will see the misunderstanding disappear. You will see humility and a sense of accomodation between one another. You will see the fear of God in you and your life partner. You will pray for one another. Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.(Ps 128:1-4) If you do not testify about your Partner as being a good soul-mate it means you are deviating from God’s Plan. Sometimes it would be difficult to testify about your Partner as you may feel that your partner has inflicted hurt on you and you may feel your partner is not a blessing anymore. Amidst this mindset, you have to realize that God through His Plan has united you. Therefore Have faith in God. As per his word your life partner is the suitable companion to help you. God will make your family testimony to the people around you and you will see this happen.
