The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. - Deut 28:12
Today God instructs you that you shall not borrow. How very joyful these words are! How many days and nights you would have beed breaking your head to solve your debts. But our Lord is over all rich unto all that call upon him. The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.(Ps 24:1). Today we see among the children of God proverty and debts prevailing over them. Why? Because you are not faithful in yout tithes offering. Also not seeking the help of God with faith, to solve your debts. Are you faithful and regular in your tithes offerings? When you fail to offer the tithes you are cheating God. Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Where in have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.(Malachi 3:8-9). Today you offer to God the tithes and the offering which you promise to God and be honest with Him, Then you will see your poverty debts and the other suffering which you go through vanish. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.(Malachi 3:10-11). The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.(Pro 10:22).
To get rid off your debts many of us depend on other humans instead hold on with faith to God. You feel you can manipulate your debts through the help of friends and others, instead of reducing the debts you are sinking deep in to debts and commitments. You will see wonders when you make the decision “that I will not borrow at any cost but solely depend on God for all my needs”. Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen. And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.(2Kings 4:1-4). The woman put her trust in the Lord and acted according to the word of the prophet Elisha. The woman had only one pot of the oil, but when she started pouring the oil was continuously over flowing. The same miracle God is capable doing it in your life also. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.(Joel 2:26).
