only believe

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe”. – Mark 5:36

Once there was a man named Jairus, He was one of the rulers of the synagogue and his daughter fell sick and was in death bed . He came to Jesus for his daughter’s healing. He came to Jesus with faith. He believed that if Jesus cast his healing hand on her she will get well and would live,this was his faith.“And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.” (Mark 5:23-24) On seeing his faith Jesus obliged and consented to go with him. At the same time there was a woman who had suffered terribly from severe bleeding for twelve years, even though she had been treated by many doctors, She had spent all her money, but instead of getting better she got worse all the time. She had heard about Jesus, so she came in the crowd behind him, saying to herself, If I just touch the clothes of Jesus, I will get well. She touched his cloak, and her bleeding stopped at once. Jesus investigated with that woman and So there was delay for Jesus to go with Jairus. “While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?” (Mark 5:35). One could imagine the situation and the feelings of Jairus . He might have thought the delay on the Part of Jesus to go with him cost his daughter’s life dear and that if Jesus had come with him without delay his daughter would have got healed. “As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.”(Mark 5:36). Jesus meant that Man’s Faith in GOD sometimes is put to test but one must be steadfast in Faith.

In our life also we put our faith in God for different things. We have faith that God meets all our needs. We have faith that God will help us. We all believe that our problems will come to an end. We should never lose our Faith in God and never get discouraged. Today God asks us to be Fearless and be strong in our Faith. We should remember that our hope comes from the Lord. A situation may go against us but yet we should never lose our Faith in God “FOR HE IS A MARVELOUS AND MIRACLE WORKING GOD”. Problems may not get solved they may get worse it might look as though our prayers go unanswered but do not be afraid let us hold on to our Faith and let our Faith in God continue. God loves those who have unflinching Faith in him. Jairus had Faith that was steadfast and he continued to have Faith in Jesus Christ and the result was an astonishing Miracle. “And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.”(Mark 38:42). Today in our life situations change but Jesus will never change for Jesus is the same today yesterday and forever. We should never give up our Faith and surely Jesus will perform astonishing Miracles in our lives.
